The Amiga Movies, interveiws and CEO outsings

Well, what can I tell you, August has been a real exciting month. In the tech news, we see that HP has yet another scandal with Mark Hurd. Poor HP, it can't find a good CEO, but that is what you get with most CEO's these days.
Needless to say I have no love for the Corporate business model these days. What HP needs is a true "Geek" to run the company. I mean really- the whole "The computer is personal-again" campaign failed miserably. Also, after repeatedly saying they would not touch Voodoo, they have gutted it and only used the Envy name on a Pavilion laptop. Sure, the stock is doing well, but all of us geek's know HP is a joke.
The same thing with Dell. Recently, 25% of the board of directors voted a non-cofidence vote, trying to outs Michel Dell. We all know Dell computers are also a joke, and the only reason they sell, is people can finance them over time. Once they buy them, and start paying for them, they find out how truly crappy the Dells are. But at least Dell did not kill off Alienware. Sure, the Alienware's are not as good as what they were, but at least they are still around, and still have some "Cool Factor"

Call me Crazy in my old age, but I am always just a bit surprised when people actually take the time and e-mail me back.

Yesterday, I watched the PBS documentaries "Triumph of the Nerds" and Nerds 2.0.1, by Robert Cringely. He never mentions Commodore or Amiga once in these shows. Although an A2000 can be plainly seen over his shoulder in many shots. We had all chalked this up again to the main Stream Media wants to wipe out any traces of Commodore from the history books. But I e-mailed him about it. He actually got back to me this morning and said that Jack would not co-operate with the film, and because of time. Now Bob is an Ex- Apple employee so, who knows.

I also ran across another Amiga Documentary in production right now called "Viva Amiga" . You can visit the web site HERE for more info.

Also, I have been contacted for an interview at Obsolete Gamer.com, I don' know if and when that will appear, but I will keep you posted
